Engine 61-1 is a 2000 Saulsbury, with a Spartan Gladiator Chassis, 10 Man cab with seating for 6, Hale 2500 gpm rear mounted pump, Pneumax compressed air foam system, 750 gallon water tank, 50 gallon Class "A" foam tank, 30 Gallon Class "B" foam tank

Tanker 61 is a 1995 Walker Stainless Steel Tanker.
It carries 6,500 gallons of water and has a 1500 gpm pump.
This truck cost over $250,000.

This unit is designed to be a tanker used for filling swimming pools (as a fund raiser for the KFD)
It also serves as a back-up tanker when the primary unit is out of service for maintenance.

Tower 61 a refurbished 1996 Simon-Duplex / 85 ' LTI tower-ladder. The unit spent it's first 5 years in Riverside, California before being traded in for a tiller unit. Tower 61 is a 4-door / 6 man unit powered by series 60 470 HP Detroit with an Allison HD4060PR automatic transmission. It has an Onan 7.5 Kw generator, 250 gallon tank with a 1250 gpm single stage pump. The vehicle has rear wheel steering capabilities & back up camera system. Communications between the turntable & bucket is supplemented by a David Clark intercom system that's also interfaced with the county 800 mhz radio. The tower carries a full compliment of ground ladders, PPV, multiple saws, high-angle gear, tri-pod lighting, EMS gear and a full compliment of truck company equipment.

Engine 61-2 is a 1986 Custom-built Hahn. It has a 750 gallon tank and a 1500 gpm pump. It also has 1500' of 5-inch; 500' - 3 inch; 200' - 2.5 inch pre-connect; 2-200' - 1 3/4 inch pre-connect and 200' - 1 inch booster line.

In 1986 this truck cost $157,000;
today it would cost $325,000.

Command 61 is a 2001 Ford Expedition. The command unit is assigned to the Fire Chief and is equipped with the following :
Low band and High band radios, Inc. command vests, EMS Equip., Air Pak, Pres. Water Ext., ABC Dry Chem. Ext., Sighting Scope, Inc. command Board,Pre-plans, Arrow Stick

Brush 61 is a 1985 GMC Chassis that was donated by the State Forestry Service. It has a 150 gallon tank and carries class A foam.

Tac 61
Tac 61 is a 1995 Ford F-450 Super-duty chassis. It has a 230 gallon tank, a 900 gpm pump and carries 15 gallons of class A foam. It cost $140,000.

Rescue 61 2005 Spartan chassis eith a 23' American LaFrance rescue pumper body. The unit is equipped with a 2500 GPM rear mount pump and acrries 500 gallons of water. It carries 50 gallons of Class "A" foam, 30 Gallons of Class B" Foam and has a 200 CFM Compressd Air Foam System. The truck has a 30 KW Generator, 20' light tower and 6000 PSI cascade system. The unit is equipped with 2 complete sets of Centaur extrication tools and full compliment of rescue equipment. It will also carry a wide variety of medical equipment, has 1000' of 5" supply line & deck gun.

Squad 61 is a 1999 Ford F-350, 4 WD 4-door Pickup designed to handle QRS (ambulance assist) calls & is AED equipped. It also serves as a personnel carrier. $45,000

Traffic 61 is a 1999 Ford F-350 4 WD 2 door Pickup truck with a Reading body. The unit is equipped with 4X8 arrow board & carries various traffic and crowd control equipment. $45,000

Containment 61 is a 1993 18 foot Wells Cargo Trailer. It carries all of the department's spill containment equipment. (Includes: pads, booms, sorbant, oil dry, tyvek suits, gloves, etc.). It is hauled with Tac 61 or
Squad 61.

Chester County Mass Casualty 61 This POD unit is owned by the County of Chester and stored at the Kimberton Fire Station. The POD unit is transported to mass casualty incidents by Tac 61 (shown here). This unit contains supplemental backboards, collars, cots, Additional oxygen units, medical kits, body bags and triage equipment needed for a large scale medical incident.

The aftermath Pod is pictured being carried on the Tac unit chassis body. The Metal enclosed box is a one of a kind box designed to hold a family's or business' possessions that were NOT destroyed in the fire from theft or weather until the insurance company can make suitable arrangements to help the individual. The box displays the logo's of the business people who financially pledged money to make this piece available (thru the fire service)

RESCUE 72

Rescue 72 is a 1993 Spartan/3D Manufacturing Rescue Pumper. The unit is equipped with a 2000 GPM Pump, 750 Tank , 30 Gal Foam Tank, 20 KW Generator, 1000’ of 5" hose, Light Tower, 4- 6000 psi air bank with booster pump, Hurst Rescue tools, Air Bags, EMS Gear, Air bags, Rescue struts, various meters for firefighting/rescue calls.

SQUAD 72

  • 2003 FORD F-550 Super Duty, 4 wheel drive, diesel engine, and automatic transmission
  • 9' all aluminum rescue body
  • 5 KW generator
  • 2 1000 watt telescoping lights
  • Infrared search camera and 16 extendable pole
  • Automatic external defibrillator (AED)
  • Hurst "JAWS OF LIFE" hydraulic rescue tools
  • Water and ice rescue equipment, high angle rescue equipment

BOAT 72-1 & 2

  • Avon 3.8 meter inflatable rescue boats
  • Mercury 20hp jet drive out boards
  • Throw bags, ring buoys, water rescue rope
