At 7:22 PM firefighters from Kimberton (61), East Whiteland Fire (05), Phoenixville (Ladder 65), and West End EMS (67), were alerted for a house fire on Charlestown Road. Fire crews found a kitchen fire that had extended up into the hood system and smoke coming from the vents at the roof peak. Firefighters began laddering the home and pulling the ceiling to check for fire extension. Crews then ventalated the home and made sure everything was extinguished before clearing the scene. Deputy Chief Fields had command. Also on scene was the Township FM. Units cleared just before 8:30 PM.
