VEHICLE FIRE OFF TOWNSHIP LINE ROAD

By Kimberton Fire Company
February 4, 2017

This car fire came in at 2:30 PM in the 900 block of Township Line Road in East Pikeland Township. Kimberton firefighters responded with an Engine and Brush unit. Crews found a SUV well involved in fire in the woods next to the home. Command brought the brush unit back the driveway to fight the fire, as the engine was simply to large. The Engine supplied water to the brush unit during the operations.
Firefighters used approximately 1000 gallons of water while extinguishing this fire. Leaking fuel lines kept the fire well supplied for a while. Units were able to clear the scene in just short of an hour. This incident was the third of four calls for service today. Chief Gable had the command, while Deputy Chief Fields had operations with the crews.

Units: Brush 61, Engine 61, Chief & Deputy 61.
