Even before all the crews left the previous accident with the overturned box truck, Communications alerted them to another accident at Route 23 (Ridge Road) and Hares Hill Road. Fire communications advised Kimberton Units that the accident involved a tractor trailer and several cars. Within two (2) minutes, units from Kimberton Fire were on the scene. The tractor trailer was found to be leaking diesel fuel and the two cars were heavily damaged and pushed off the roadway. Personnel from West End Ambulance and Kimberton Fire attended to one injured driver. Other firefighters began applying oil dry over the diesel fuel.

Command requested additional help with traffic control from Ridge (62), Spring City (63), Valley Forge (68) and Phoenixville (65). Crews assisted in clearing the debris and fluids and were able to open the roads by 10:15 AM.
