By Deputy Chief Chuck Fields
May 25, 2017
Kimberton firefighters were invited to attend the 2017 Chester County EMS Awards banquet at the Kennett Square Fire Station. Kimberton Firefighters were joined by West End EMS Providers and East Pikeland Police in receiving a unit citation for the Rescue and save of a man pinned under a forklift at Shelly Lumber in September of 2016. The Patient lost the lower portion of his leg but is alive today because of the extrication and pre-Hospital care provided to him by Fire and EMS providers.
