HOUSE FIRE IN PHOENIXVILLE

Just after 3 AM Firefighters from Phoenixville (65), Kimberton (61), Valley Forge (68),Black Rock (99), Trappe EMS of Phoenixville (85) and West End Ambulance (67) were dispatched to a house fire on South Street off Saint Mary's Street in Phoenixville. Firefighters found a 3 story single family home with fire in the living room and front porch. Heavy smoke was showing from all sides and eves. Crews made an aggressive attack , quickly containing the fire. Three family members escaped uninjured. Firefighters rescued 1 cat (Tiny) and revived him. He was treated on the scene by EMS personnel with a pet oxygen mask and taken by the Phoenixville FD to the Metropolitan (Veterinarian) Clinic in Oaks for additional care. Another cat did not survive. Crews remained on the scene for hours insuring the fire was completely out and assisting County Fire Investigators.
