On Saturday October 7th 2017, Volunteers took their heavy Rescue (Rescue 61) to the Lower Pottsgrove Home Depot for a Fire Prevention display. The community event was developed for fire safety awareness and to demonstrate various skills of the Fire Departments. Upon arriving to display our unit, we were asked to participate in a vehicle rescue demonstration with the Pottstown Fire department. Crews used both sets of extrication tools to get two “patients” out of the car safely. We thank the Sanatoga FD for the invitation and allowing us to join forces with our neighbors to show off our skills.
