HIT & RUN ACCIDENT LEAVES 2 PEDESTRIANS INJURED

At 4:41 PM Chester County communications received a call for two (2) pedestrians struck in the 1900 block of Art School Road in West Pikeland Township. Kimberton (61) Fire and Uwchlan (87) EMS were dispatched. Both females were walking their dogs along the roadway when a driver left the roadway and struck both and then fled the scene. Both victims were taken by Uwchlan to the Paoli Memorial Trauma center. The FD also closed down Art School Road during the incident until Fire and EMS cleared the scene. Deputy Chief Fields had command and West Pikeland Township Police continue to investigate the incident. Fire crews also checked the area for one of the missing dogs, which had fled after the accident. Units cleared the scene by 5:15 PM.
