KIMBERTON VOLUNTEERS ASSIST AT THE BARCLAY FRIENDS HOME FIRE

As the Multi-Alarm Fire raged at the Barclay Friends (Assisted Living) Home at 700 North Franklin Street, the County Alerted Kimberton Fire Personnel to relocate an Engine to the Exton (06) Fire Station. As the crews approached the Fire station, they were moved into the fire scene to assist at the fire scene. Later in the incident, crews from Kimberton brought their ATV to the scene to assist. This incident included approximately 98% of all the Chester County Fire and EMS stations, and units from Montgomery, Delaware, Lancaster and New Castle Counties. Later in the day, a crew staffed up Rescue 61 to assist with hot spots at the fire from 8 PM (Fri) until 4 AM Saturday morning.
