Just after 12:15 AM Chester County communications alerted Kimberton (61) volunteers for a fire alarm in the 500 block of Wall Street. Moments later another call was received for a utility pole on fire just down the street. A third (3rd) call to 911 reported an accident with entrapment, with a vehicle into pole and wires down. First in responders found the vehicle contained 3 occupants. Police found one (1) outside of vehicle, and then then pulled a second Patient out of the rear seat area of the vehicle. The third (3rd) Patient was the driver of vehicle who was trapped. Rescue crews could not gain access to free the driver until the utility Company (PECO) arrived and deemed the situation safe to work on vehicle. Shortly after their arrival, the extrication was completed. The roadway was closed until the mid-morning hours. The Chester County Scat team was brought to the scene to reconstruct the accident scene. Fire personnel deployed their light Tower from the station (to the scene) in order to provide lighting for the reconstruction crews. Fire Police then placed barricades on each end of Wall Street in an effort to keep it closed during the investigation. Kimberton Volunteers were assisted by West End Ambulance (MICU 67), Spring City EMS (MICU 83), Royersford EMS (MICU 325), East Pikeland Police, Spring City PD, and the Chester County SCAT Team.
