At 7:22 PM while Kimberton volunteers were already out on an accident response in Charlestown Township, a second call came in for a House Fire assignment on Cherry Street in Phoenixville. The Tower immediately responded from the station and the Rescue cleared the accident and headed into town to assist with manpower. Kimberton FD Chief officers assisted with command rolls, as firefighters assisted on the scene. Crews found a bathroom exhaust fan (in the ceiling) that had caught fire and extended into the attic space. A handline was stretched to the 2nd floor where crews made quick work of the fire. Crews ventilated the home with a fan while others opened up the ceiling area to make sure they had all the fire extinguished. Chester County Fire Marshals office was on scene and Kimberton crews cleared just after 8 PM.
