Today was graduation day for Chester County's Junior Public Safety Day Camp. Select Fire apparatus was on display for family members, including Kimberton's heavy Rescue truck. The graduation was held at the Chester County Public Safety Training Academy grounds in South Coatesville. Junior Firefighters Ira Deger and Conner Huff both completed the Academy course and received their certificates. Junior members can not get their actual Firefighting 1 certification until they reach 18 years of age. The program allows them to build on the training they get at the fire station and helps them prepare for future training classes.

Ira Deger was awarded the Camp Cadet award by his instructors. Conner looks forward to attending again next year. Congratulations to both!
