This night was a great event and an impressive display of youth sports, family teamwork and hometown community spirit. Many of the kids, their families and Racing club members all made a point to stop by and thank KFC for supporting the race event.

KFC was given a track sponsorship for the July 5 "Armed Forces Stars and Stripes" racing event at Montgomery County Quarter Midget Racing Club's track on Township Line Road in Phoenixville. The sponsorship was, in part, an exchange for MCQMRC's use of the FD's building for their Awards Banquet last November.

Kimberton FD Volunteers took the new Tower to be on display and to answer questions from children and their families. They also passed out Fair information. MCQMRC provided a sponsor sign at the track, and made announcements throughout the night recognizing Kimberton Fire Co. and promoting the dates for the Fair. They also awarded each 1st, 2nd and 3rd place drive from each of the 16 races with a trophy sporting a fire truck on top and KFC's name engraved at the bottom. The firefighters who volunteered to be there that night were included in a photo opportunity on the track where they received a trophy and award.
