Friday evening around 8pm Kimberton, Spring City, Ridge, Valley Forge, and Lionville Fire companies were alerted for a house fire in the Brimful development.
Initial dispatch was for a chimney fire with extension into the house, while Enroute to the scene the Chief was advised the Police were on scene with heavy smoke and fire, The Deputy Chief and Chief arrived within minutes to find heavy smoke showing from the front areas of the house. Further investigation found a chimney fire that had spread to the outside walls on both sides of the chimney. The fire had extended into the roof and ceiling line of the room that had the fire place in it. The fire then spread up the wall to the second floor and started to get into the attic of the main house. Crews arrived and worked quickly to get ahead of the fire and control it. The house filled with smoke as crews worked to get the upper hand on the fast moving fire. Everyone did a great job working together to protect the remainder of the house.
