Monday October 20, 2014. At 10:56 PM County communications alerted Kimberton Fire (61), Ridge Fire (62), Ludwigs Corner Fire (73) and Ladder 65 from Phoenixville for a house fire on Buttonwood Lane in West Vincent Twp. Within minutes the police were reporting heavy fire in the garage, extending to the attached home. Upon arrival, Chief 61 (Pollinger) confirmed the report and assumed command. At 1152 PM command requested a tanker task force for additional water, bringing tankers from Twin Valley (69), Lionville (47),Valley Forge (68) and Glenmoore (48). At midnight command requested an engine from Norco Fire (64) and Linfield Fire (M51). The Fire was placed under control at 12:55 AM and units began clearing around 4:30 AM. Fire Investigators from the Chester County FM’s office were on scene and ruled the fire accidental.
