Tuesday February 3, 2015. At 5:50 PM County communications alerted Kimberton Fire (61) along with West End EMS (67) for an accident on Saint Matthews Rd off Pughtown Road in West Vincent Twp. Communications reported a car vs Fence. Upon arrival of the units, they found that upon going thru the fence a post actually came through the windshield and another through the radiator. The crew from Rescue 61 split up with half beginning to treat the patient and other handling spill control. Fire Police closed down the roadway allowing the crews to work safely. The MICU transported to the Phoenixville Hospital. Crews assisted in clearing the roadway of fencing and debris and cleared within the hour.
