Tuesday, May 12, 2015. Just before 5 PM a major fire broke out at the North Park Plaza at 130 Wallace Avenue in Downingtown. The building is a strip center with multiple stores located just off Pennsylvania Avenue across from the new Minquas Fire Station. The fire went to 4+ alarms, as fire eventually over took the entire building. Kimberton crews assisted with an Engine and two (2) tankers on the scene. Crews from Kimberton remained on the scene until 11:30 PM.
