Burning Ordinances
East Pikeland Township does not allow open burning. (Ordinance No. 136, enacted 09/02/08).
Charlestown Township, West Vincent Township, East Vincent Township and West Pikeland Township all have various regulations regarding open burning. Please check with your municipality prior to any open burning.
If you are allowed to have an open burn, you must call the Chester County 911 Center at 610 933-8966 to make the proper notification about the burn. This will prevent the fire company from being accidentally dispatched.
