FIRE STATION TOURS

Do you have a Scout troop, Mom's Club or specialty group looking for a fire station tour?

The Kimberton Fire Company offers Fire Station Tours which can be combined with fire safety-prevention talks. We will custom tailor a program for your group based on your time availability, type group, age range and interests.

With sufficient advance notice and time allotment, groups can also arrange to go through the family safety trailer. We recommend you have over an hour budgeted if you wish to go through the safety trailer.

Station tours often cover the following:

Safety talk ( 911, kitchen safety, exit drills in the home, escape routes, roles of firefighters, seeing the firefighter try on gear with an air pack, allowing the group to try it on for size) followed by a tour of the station and engine room where children can actually get on and in the fire apparatus.

With the many diverse groups that come to us, we pride ourselves in our ability to build a basic program to your individual needs.

To discuss what Kimberton Fire Company can do for your group's event, please contact the Fire Chief via e-mail with your contact information. You may also call the fire station and leave a message at 610-935-1388.

MOMS Club of Coventry

Good Evening,

Attached are a couple of pictures from our recent visit (Monday, March 6th) to your Fire Company. On behalf of the MOMS Club of Coventry, I would like to thank you and the other fire men for taking the time out of your schedules to treat our children to a morning of fire protection education. The children had a blast using the fire hose, exploring the engines and best of all... making a new friend, Sparky.

Many Thanks,
Dana Bodor

Hello all,

I first wanted to say thank you for a WONDERFUL tour we had this morning. Michael Risell was excellent and the kids really loved him. He did a fabulous job showing and telling us what goes on in the firehouse.

We even got to watch him and the volunteers leave for a call as we were getting ready to leave. Everyone had a great time!

So thanks again for a wonderful time!

Sincerely,
Administrative Vice President of MOMS Club Phoenixville West

Adventure Guides Tour the Firehouse

On Sunday March 21, 2004 Kimberton firefighters provided an educational tour to the Adventure Guides from the YMCA. The group of approximately 10 girls coordinated by leader Keith Feulner arrived at the station around 6:30 PM.

The group watched a video on home fire prevention along with smoke alarms and escape plans. They went over some general fire safety tips/procedures followed by a demonstration of what the firefighters wear for safety. The group got to see up close the turnout gear & air packs used by firefighters. Before leaving the group was provided with gift packs containing various pens, pencils and other items.
