School, Organization & Event VisitsAs an all volunteer organization whose members all come from within our community, Kimberton Fire Company takes an active role in our own and nearby communities both to build awareness of safety and fire prevention and to build good will, as well as to raise funds to keep our training and equipment top notch. Our members are available to visit your organization, school or event and can provide a variety of educational and fun fire prevention and safety teaching programs. “Learn Not to Burn”On October 10, 2009 the Kimberton Fire Company hosted a “Learn Not to Burn” training session for 350 cub and boy scouts from throughout Chester County. The training consisted of 18 different station the scouts had to complete. Each station provided the scouts with an insight into the fire service, fire prevention or fire safety. Several stations were part of a boy scout merit badge that the boy scouts were working towards. In addition to Kimberton Fire Company, Phoenixville Fire Department, Valley Forge Fire Company, Pa Department of Natural Resources, East Pikeland Police Department and Phoenixville Dive Unit also helped teach the scouts. Please check back soon for pictures! The Kimberton Fire Company assisted Spring City Fire Company on October 9, 2009 at their annual fire prevention display. Kimberton Firefighters displayed the Northern Fire Chiefs Association “Safety Trailer”. The trailer is designed as a house to teach children fire safety and how to properly recognize and handle fire emergencies. Our recent visit to Kimberton Meadows Block PartyOn May 30, members of the Kimberton Fire Company, along with West End Ambulance and the East Pikeland Police Department attended the first annual Kimberton Meadows Block Party. The children learned about safety and fire prevention. A good time was had by all!
