TREE COMES DOWN IN HIGH WINDS BRING DOWN POLE/WIRES WITH IT

Monday  March 5, 2007

On this windy March day, high winds brought down this pine tree on Galacia Drive in East Pikeland Township.  The tree brought down Verizon phone lines & PECO power lines along Hunt Lane.  The energized power lines burnt a neighbors lawn and energized the ground to a point where a nearby trampoline could be seen smoking.  The Kimberton FD stood-by and secured the area until they could get power company representatives/crews on scene.  Fire crews cleared the scene at 1530 hours.
