MUTUAL AID ASSIGNMENT ON WORKING TRAILER FIRE

Sunday, April 29, 2007

At 21:09 hours Stations 65, 66, 67 (Phoenixville Fire), Engine 68-2 (Valley Forge Fire) and Tower 61 (Kimberton) were alerted by County communications for a trailer fire to the rear of Tague Lumber on Bridge St. Engine 67-1 arrived within minutes and found heavy smoke showing from a mobile home next to Tague Lumber. Ladder 65 and Engine 67-1 made their way back to the mobile home which was several hundred feet off of Bridge Street across from Hall Street. Deputy 65 (Jim Gable) arrived and established Bridge Street Command. Crews stretched 2 lines and made a quick knock on the fire while searches and ventilation were also completed. The fire was placed under control within 30 minutes but extensive overhaul was necessary. It was later determined that the mobile home was vacant and set to be demolished. Crews cleared the scene in about 2 hours and the fire remains under investigation by the Chester County Fire Marshalls Office.
