Accident at Coldstream Road

Tuesday June 5, 2007

At 0915 hrs, Kimberton Fire Co (61), the Spring-Ford Sub-Station (72) and West End EMS (67) were dispatched to an auto accident reported serious at Coldstream Rd & Raven Hill Rd in Charlestown Twp. Crews arrived to find 2 patients, 1 down in a driveway across the street from the van and 1 sitting in a yard next to the van. A 2nd MICU was immediately requested to the scene. Crews from 61 assisted in assessing both patients along with the MICU personnel. One pt. was flown to HUP by PennStar 2 and the patient was taken Phoenixville Hosp. Rescue 61's personnel assisted in pulling down a tree that was sheared off by the van and making it safe for the property owners. PSPE is investigating the accident.
