Phoenixville House Fire
Thursday, July 27, 2006
At 2356 hours Chester County Communications alerted Phoenixville Fire (65, 66, 67), Valley Forge Fire (68) for an Engine and Kimberton Fire (61) for a Truck Company to Rhoads and Fairview Streets in Phoenixville for a house fire. First in units found heavy smoke conditions. The smoke was so heavy fire units had difficulty seeing in the street to position apparatus. Fire crews encountered fire on the second floor and roof areas. The alarm came in just after a violent Thunderstorm and is being investigated as a "possible" lightning strike. Units began to clear around 0300 hours.
