AT 0211 hrs Chester County Communications alerted Kimberton Fire (61 & 72) to a house fire on Coldstream Road in East Pikeland Twp. Upon arrival of Chief & Deputy 61 the Smoke was so heavy they could not physically see the structure to identify what was on fire. Chief 61 (Fields) assumed command and requested 2 additional Engines (Engine 65 & Engine 68-2) and a MICU from West End Ambulance (67). First in Units laid a 5” supply line down the driveway & went in service with 1 ¾ inch handlines. Crews found fire in the void between the ceiling and roof and opened the roof up to access the fire. Shortly after the fire was placed under control at 0245 hrs , the County advised command of a working car fire on Pickering Dam Road. Rescue 61 & Engine 68-2 responded to handle that incident. Also assisting on scene was FM-101 (Gallagher) from the Chester County FMO. Units cleared by 0500 Hrs.
