Kimberton Assists Phoenixville on 4 Alarm FireAt 6:30 PM on Sunday night, October 30th, the Kimberton Fire Company, along with the Valley Forge Fire Company and Mont Clare, were dispatched to assist Phoenixville on a report of smoke from a building. Phoenixville Chief Gable went on scene shortly after dispatch and reported smoke showing as well as heavy fire from the front of the building. Upon arrival Tower 61 went in service with a master stream. Rescue 61 arrived shortly afterwards and the crews from the 61 units worked with various firefighters from other departments fighting the fire both outside and inside the buildings, and eventually participating in overhaul. ACCIDENT WITH INJURIESAt 8:48 AM on Friday, October 21 the Kimberton Fire Company, along with Phoenixville's MICU 67 were dispatched to the scene of an auto accident with injuries at Rt 113 and Coldstream Road. Kimberton personnel assisted EMS. secured the batteries on the cars, and controlled hazards. Pictures by M. Dydak KIMBERTON/LUDWIGS CORNER ASSIST PHOENXVILLE AT AUTO ACCIDENTOn Friday night, July 28th during the Kimberton Community Fair, the Kimberton Fire Company was dispatched to assist Phoenixville at the scene of an auto accident with heavy entrapment. Ludwigs Corner, the standby company at the fair that night, responded along with Kimberton personnel. Mutual aid personnel stood by at the scene and provided man power as needed. Photos by C. Richter
KIMBERTON FIREFIGHTERS ASSIST ON CARDIAC ARREST ALONG PICKERING TRAILSaturday, May 21, 2011As Kimberton Firefighters were preparing to leave for the annual Dogwood Parade they received an alarm for a subject down along the Pickering Trail. The Pickering Trail is located on Pickering Dam Road off Route 29 in Charlestown Township. Also dispatched on the alarm were Paramedics from the West End Ambulance of Phoenixville and the East Whiteland Fire Company Ambulance. Crews arrived to find a male subject down in cardiac arrest which was up a steep embankment, back in the woods and on the other side of Pickering Creek. Firefighters worked to load the subject into a Stokes Basket and bring him down the hill, across the creek and into an awaiting ambulance.
