Just after 6 PM, as firefighters were backing into the station from a fire alarm, an alarm for a serious accident sounded. Rescue 61 immediately responded and found a car that had run a stop sign and struck a utility pole. The driver was unresponsive. Crews from Kimberton Fire and West End EMS packaged the patient for transport. Fire Police directed traffic at the scene. Units cleared shortly after the ambulance left the scene for the hospital. This was the 4th call of the day.
