CAR SLAMS TREE WITH ONE TRAPPED

At 4:36 AM Kimberton (61) Fire and West End (67) EMS were alerted for an accident with a reported of one trapped. The Incident was on French Creek Rd (dirt section) off Pughtown Road in West Vincent Township. Deputy Chief Fields was the first to arrive a reported a SUV into a tree with 1 trapped in the rear seat. He then assumed command. Rescue 61 was able to pull up next to the car and begin their extrication. Assistant Chief Gable took the Rescue operations Division. Crews used the Jaws to Pop open the rear door to the car, where the patient was found with facial trauma. Upon extrication, Kimberton EMT's and West End personnel packaged the patient for his transport to the Paoli Trauma Center. The extrication was completed at 4:57 AM. The Fire Police had the road closed until the vehicle was towed away and all units cleared at 6 AM.
