Kimberton Firefighters handle 3 Vehicle Accident

Just after 8 AM, Kimberton (61)Firefighters along with the Uwchlan (87) Ambulance were dispatched to Route 113 at Pikeland Road in West Pikeland Twp for an accident. Within Minutes the assignment was upgraded to have entrapment and an ambulance from West End (67) of Phoenixville was added to the assignment. Upon arrival Chief Pollinger assumed command and reported 1 confined in the car and another out but requiring EMS. Kimberton Fire personnel assisted EMS with removing the driver of the first car while others worked on helping package the 2nd driver who was also injured. Once packaged and into the ambulances, they were taken to Paoli Trauma center. The 3rd driver was uninjured. Route 113 (Kimberton Rd) was closed down causing a major traffic back-up. Assisted with traffic was fire police from Lionville (47) fire dept. After cleaning up the scene, units cleared just after 9 AM.
