The Kimberton Fire Company hosted a "Girl Scout First Aid Day" where different Girl Scout troops came and learned all about the importance of first aid as well as participated in various fire safety demonstrations. In addition, they learned about environmental emergencies, water rescue, explored fire trucks, police vehicles and ambulances, learned about the 911 center, and reviewed the importance of emergency escapes as well as having a meeting place in the event of an emergency. The day concluded with firefighters explaining the negative impacts of distracted driving and performed a vehicle rescue demonstration.

A very special thanks is extended to all the companies who assisted in the success of the day including the Northern Chester County Fire Chief's Association, East Pikeland Police Department, Phoenixville Fire Department, Valley Forge Fire Company, Ridge Fire Company, Friendship Fire Company Dive Unit, West End Ambulance and Chester County Department of Emergency Services. The day would not have been possible without your assistance, and we appreciate everyone who volunteered thier time!
