DRYER FIRE IN KIMBERTON KNOLL

At 9:40 AM Firefighters from Kimberton (61), Phoenixville (65), Valley Forge (68) and West End (67) EMS were alerted for a structure fire n Cumberland Court in Kimberton Knoll Townhomes. Police arrived first and found a dryer on fire in the basement. The officer used an extinguisher to knock down the fire until fire units arrived. Command quickly held the assignment to one (1) Engine from Kimberton and Phoenixville. Firefighters finished extinguishing the fire, and removed the dryer from the home. Crews then ran fans to ventilate the home. The homeowner was assisted in making contact with a restoration company (Belfor) who will work with the insurance company to clean the unit. Fire units cleared the scene at 10:35 AM.
