May 25, 2016

Firefighters from Kimberton (61), Valley Forge (68) and Phoenixville (65) met for a night of training at the West Chester Fire Training Center. Crews took turns fighting fires, packing hose, throwing ladders and providing rapid intervention. Crews also trained on the Tower ladder, working to get qualified to operate the unit at an emergency. Firefighters spent over two (2) hours in the heat training and then another hour back at the station packing hose, cleaning air packs and equipment. Kimberton Fire personnel train each Wednesday evening in addition to State and County classes they may take on weekends throughout the year.
