Who Ya gonna call when Gertie the Iguana gets away from you and climbs the tree out front? Fire Department to the rescue. Crews fought limb after limb to get the bucket of the Tower Ladder up high enough to try and reach Gertie. Firefighter Jorgensen got within inches before Gertie bolted up higher and out of their reach. Unfortunately the crew of Tower 61 could not make the rescue. The owner was provided some names of Tree services that have helped with cat rescues in the past.

Update: Gertie was rescued that night at 12:30 am by a local Arborist. Besides being a little cold Gertie is doing fine.
