CHIMNEY FIRE IN JULY

This Chimney fire alarm came in at 12:15 PM on Saturday. The County dispatched Kimberton (61) Fire and Uwchlan EMS (87) to this incident on Clearview Drive in West Pikeland Township. The fire started during an attempted relight of a malfunctioning oil burner and quickly ignited the dirty chimney. Fire Crews Checked the chimney and ventilated the home of smoke. They then ran meters through the home to make sure there was no residual carbon monoxide inside. Units cleared just after 1 PM. Chief Pollinger had command.
 
Units: Engine 61, Tower 61, Rescue 61, the 3 Chief officers and Fire Police.
