Monday, June 30, 2014 at 12:28 pm County Communications alerted Kimberton Fire Company (61), Phoenixville (65), Valley Forge (68), Lionville (47) and MICU 67 for a garage fire at 2265 Kimberton Road.
Both Engine 61 and Chief 61 responded within minutes and arrived to find a single story one car garage with fire on the side. Trash was stacked against the wall with flame reaching the rafters. East Pikeland Police held the fire with a garden hose which prevented the fire spreading into the rafters. The alarm was quickly down graded to 61 and 68 until it could be determine if the fire had extended. After a quick check of the interior of the garage, it was determined there was no extension and held to 61 only. The fire cause was undetermined by FM100. All units cleared 1346.
