Monday July 14, 2014. At 6:03 PM County Communications alerted Kimberton (61) and Trappe EMS (85) from Phoenixville to the intersection of Route 23 and Hares Hill Road in East Pikeland Township. Within 2 minutes, Rescue 61 and 3 Chiefs from Kimberton were on the way. Upon arrival crews found a van overturned with one injured. Assistant Chief Walters assumed command. The crew from Rescue 61 assisted in getting the patient onto a backboard for transport to Phoenixville Hospital. Crews then cleaned up the roadway, as other personnel closed Route 23 at Route 724. All fire units cleared the scene by 7 PM.
