This accident call came in at 5:38 PM for Charlestown Road just north of Tree Lane. The County dispatched Kimberton Fire (61) and West End Ambulance (67) to the incident. Within minutes the incident was upgraded to an accident with entrapment. Kimberton volunteers responded with the Engine and Rescue. Upon arrival crews found a single vehicle accident with the car on its side and 1 trapped inside. Lieutenant Bauer assumed command and crews went to work. Firefighters stabilized the car and removed the windshield for a quick extrication. The driver was transported by West End EMS to Phoenixville Hospital. Fire Police from the East Whiteland Fire Company closed Charlestown Rd northbound at Hollow Rd, while Kimberton Fire Police closed it southbound at Church Road. Pa State police investigated the accident.
