At 10:30 Pm County dispatch alerted Kimberton Fire and West End Ambulance for an accident at 1100 Western Road in East Pikeland Twp. First in units from Kimberton Fire found a car underneath a utility pole and the power out in the area. The driver was able to get out uninjured prior to the arrival of emergency responders. The Fire Department closed the roadway due to the pole being down across the street. Crews also notified PECO that they had a pole down with a transformer on it, that was leaking on the street. Firefighters diked the spill and secured the scene. West End Ambulance checked out the driver who refused transport. The scene was turned over to PECO for some extensive repairs.
