Thursday December 23rd. At 8:41 PM the County's communications center alerted Kimberton Fire and West End Ambulance for an auto accident on Schuylkill Rd (Route 23) at Meadow Lane in East Pikeland Township. East Pikeland Police arrived first and reported that there was 1 trapped. Volunteers from the Kimberton FD responded with the Rescue, Engine and Utility. While crews set up to remove the one driver, other firefighters closed down Route 23 between Route 724 & Rapps Dam Road. The rescue crew made quick work of removing the injured driver and turning the patient over to the EMS crew. Once the vehicles were removed firefighters swept up the debris and units cleared the scene.
