Thursday January 6, 2022. At 3:54 PM, the Chester County communications center alerted Kimberton Fire and Uwchlan Ambulance for an injured person in the woods on the Camphill Village grounds off Pughtown Road in West Vincent Township. Within minutes the FD responded with ATV 61-2, Utility 61, Chief and Deputy 61. A responder from Camphill Village showed firefighters where to make access into a field that lead down to the woods. The Fire Department's EMS equipped ATV drove down to the woods where they found the injured female. Firefighters back boarded the patient and loaded her into the stokes basket and up onto the ATV. While this was being done the Utility crew went back down to Pughtown Road to escort the Ambulance up to the scene. The ATV unit brought the patient back up to the street where the Ambulance was waiting. Care was transferred to the Ambulance crew from Uwchlan and FD personnel began taking up. The incident took just less than 30 minutes.
