Firefighters Train on Opening up Commercial flat roofs

Wednesday April 6, 2022, This weeks training night included saw work on the roof of the former Rita's on Schuylkill Road. With Rita's due to be torn down soon, the owners granted the FD permission to train in the building. Crews trained on the roof with a rotary saw, giving newer firefighters the opportunity to work the saw on a real roof. Kimberton fire crews train every Wednesday evening to build their skill sets.
