Monday August 15, 2022. Just before 6 PM firefighters from Kimberton, Spring City, Royersford, Ridge, Valley Forge and West End Ambulance were alerted for a structure fire at a business in the 800 block of Spring City Rd. First in units from Spring City reported heavy smoke showing and a tanker task force alarm was requested. Firefighters found a car heavily involved inside the garage and starting to spread. The crews made quick work of the fire and the additional tankers were recalled. Crews were on the scene for just over an hour. County Fire Marshals are investigating the cause of the fire.
