Serious Accident on Charlestown Rd leaves 5 injured

Sunday September 11, 2022. At 6:43 PM Kimberton volunteers and West End Ambulance were alerted for an accident with possible entrapment in front of the Charlestown Playhouse. Crews found a 2-vehicle head-on crash with five (5) injured. There was only minor confinement and the rescue made quick work of that door. Other crew members found themselves assisting various ambulances. Assisting on the scene was West End Ambulance, Trappe of Phoenixville, East Whiteland Ambulance and Malvern paramedics. Fire Police closed down the roadway for the incident. A portable light tower was brought out to the scene by the Kimberton FD to assist the State Police with their crash investigation team. Charlestown Rd remains closed at the time this was posted. While at this incident the engine assisted Valley Forge Fire at a fire alarm at the University of Valley Forge.
