HOUSE FIRE ASSIST TO LIONVILLE FD IN WEST PIKELAND

At 0517 hours Chester County 911 alerted Lionville Fire (47), Kimberton Fire (61) and Uwchlan Ambulance (87A) for a house fire on Duncan Way in the Twin Hills Development. First in personnel found heavy smoke coming from the home with rapidly deteriorating conditions. Crews from Kimberton responded with the Rescue-Pumper, Tower-ladder and Tanker. At 0537 hours command decided to pull all the firefighters out of the building and fight the fire from the exterior only. Crews were also joined by an Engine from Exton and Fame of West Chester along with Fire Investigators from the County Fire Marshal’s Office. The fire was placed under control at 0630 hours, with Kimberton crews returning to station around 9 AM. An Engine from Phoenixville (65) covered the Kimberton Station until their return.
