Tuesday September 16, 2014. Just after 11:30 AM Firefighters from Valley Forge Fire (68), and Kimberton Fire (61) were alerted for a house fire on North Spring Lane off Route 23 in Schuylkill Township. First in crews from Valley Forge found heavy fire in an attached garage. A working fire dispatch was made bringing Phoenixville (65), and Engine from Royersford and a unit from Lower Providence (M53) for rapid intervention. Also a West End MICU stood by on the scene. Firefighters made quick work of the fire and prevented the fire from extending into the home. County Fire investigators assisted on the scene and determined the fire to have started in an older car which was being restored. Kimberton crews cleared around 2 PM.
