Friday November 25, 2022. Calls began coming into the 911 center around 1:20 PM for an accident on Charlestown Road at Pickering Dam Road. Fire Communications dispatched Kimberton Fire and Trappe Ambulance from Phoenixville. Before crews arrived the dispatch center also added a MICU from Malvern to assist on the call. Upon arrival crews found a 2-vehicle head-on accident with 6 injured. Two (2) additional ambulances were requested bringing East Whiteland and West End Ambulances to the scene. Kimberton crews closed down Charlestown Rd at Church Rd and a traffic unit from the East Whiteland Fire Company closed down Charlestown Rd N/B at Hollow Rd. All ambulances transported their patients to the Paoli Memorial Hospital. Fire crews remained on the scene for about an hour while the vehicles were removed, and debris and fluids were cleaned up.
