Friday December 2, 2022. At 4:04 PM the first alarm was sounded for a building fire in the Westridge Apartments in Phoenixville. Within minutes the assignment went to a 2nd alarm bringing in departments from around the area. Firefighters hit the fire hard from the interior and exterior and quickly knocked down the bulk of the fire. Tower 61 (Kimberton) set up in the front with Ladder 65 from Phoenixville and they worked on the roof operations. Crews from Kimberton later went in and assisted with overhauling the interior and extinguishing hot spots. First in crews did a superior job of quickly containing the fire and saving the building. County Fire Investigators were on the scene looking for the cause of the fire. Kimberton crews cleared the scene by 6:30 PM.
