Wednesday February 28, 2024. Just before 6 PM County Fire Dispatchers alerted Kimberton, Phoenixville, Valley Forge, Ridge, Spring City, Ludwigs Corner, Lionville & East Whiteland Fire Stations for a house on fire in the 500 block of Deer Run Lane in East Pikeland Township. First in units found a fire burning on the top of the stairs to the basement. Crews knocked it down quickly and the fire was under control in minutes. Command held the Kimberton units, Ladder 65 & Engine 68-5 and the rest was returned. County Fire Investigators assisted on the scene. Chief Jay Pollinger had command.
