Wednesday November 19, 2014. While enroute to cover an overdose call in East Vincent Township, Micu 67-2 from the West End Ambulance in Phoenixville was involved in an accident on Route 23 at Township Line Road. County Dispatchers alerted Kimberton Fire (61) and a MICU from Trappe EMS – Phoenixville Division (85) to the call. Within the minute, Kimberton Firefighters responded with the Engine. Upon arrival the crew found a 4 vehicle accident, involving the MICU and a School bus carrying 20 children. The Ambulance crew had checked everyone before the FD arrived, with only 1 subject complaining of neck and back pain. The FD assisted EMS in packaging that patient for transport to Phoenixville Hospital. Crews from Kimberton and Valley Forge’s Fire Police closed down Route 23 until all vehicles could be removed and the scene cleaned up.
