Sunday November 23, 2014. At 1136 hours after firefighters just returned from another call, Chester County Communications alerted Kimberton Fire (61) to a woods fire in the 1600 block of Kimberton Road. Fire crews responded with the Brush unit, 1 engine and the attack unit. About an acre of woods was on fire upon arrival. Chief Pollinger had command. Firefighters spent just over an hour on the scene controlling and mopping up the fire.
